Sunday morning we were at Thompson Springs Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN. Pastor Joe White and his congregation are going through a trial of fire, literally! Last week the church building was destroyed by a fire and all of their records and historical data was destroyed.
Jeff called Pastor Joe and told him we could reschedule at a later date, but he insisted that we come and sing in spite of the circumstance. Taylor Elementary is letting them meet in their gym until the new sanctuary is finished. The new sanctuary had already been started, and is about three months away from completion.
The service was absolutely powerful and the gym was full! The members were crying, rejoicing and praising God for His wonderful presence and His incredible provision! Many area churches donated hymn books, altars, pulpits, and one local business man donated $10,000 dollars to the church. What a wonderful God we serve! AMEN!!
We know that this is difficult for Pastor Joe and the members of Thompson Springs Baptist, but we and they know that God is sovereign and that He means this to them for good!
We are expecting to keep hearing about more and more miracles from this blessing! We love all of you at Thompson Springs.
Sunday night we were at Center Point Baptist Church outside of Calhoun, TN. Pastor Johnny Underwood is one more character and he kept us all on our toes as he blessed us with his wit and humor. Not only that he is a man of God!
The service was powerful and God really moved in His people. We look forward to singing there again! Thank you Pastor for asking us to come and be part of your ministry!
