Well, this weekend found The 2x2 Quartet singing once again in a new place, and then in a place full of old friends.
Sunday morning we sang at the Stuart Heights Baptist Church in Hixson, TN.
We sang in the 8:30 service and then in the 10am worship service. We met many new friends and really enjoyed bringing the "2x2" style of Southern Gospel to the congregation there. We hope to be back soon, we really had a good time.
Sunday night was back to the Unity Church of God in Cleveland, TN. We always always feel right at home there with Pastor Grady and the folks at Unity. As usual, the people were on their feet from the very first note until the very end. Jeff took time for some "unplanned" preaching and did a very good job.
The biggest event of the weekend was the return to the microphone and to the sound board for our bass singer Daniel. Daniel had last weekend off for his wedding and honeymoon, and we missed him. David Crittendon filled in, and did a great job. It was very good to have Daniel back with us, this time not with his girlfriend or fiance, but with Vanessa as his wife. Counting in the new "subs" to bring out the low sounds, and Daniel has never sounded better. Welcome back Daniel, and welcome to the family Vanessa!!!
